On May 17th we did our first brand research project. This started because we were seeing the trash of many recognizable brands on the beach. We all thought that the brands, the producers/manufacturers of these items, should be responsible for removing their items from our beaches. This idea was also outlined in a speech by Sakamoto Kouji of Kankyo Mirai and it was titled EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility). We hope this research sheds light on this issue and starts the process of urging brands to clean up our beaches.
